Before Getting to know about slip-on flange Grades let us first understand what is a slip-on flange.

Slip-on Flange is essentially a ring that is placed over the pipe end, with the flange face extending from the end of the pipe by enough distance to apply a weld bead on the inside diameter. The OD of the slip-on flange is also welded on the backside of the flange.

310 Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges

310 Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges

Stainless Steel Slip-on Flanges Grades Designed for high-temperature applications, 310 stainless steel slip-on flanges provide high-temperature oxidation resistance to 2000°F under mildly cyclic conditions. An economic alternative to nickel alloys like alloy 330 or Inconel, 310 flanges provide slightly less strength and temperature resistance but at a significantly lower price point.  Alloy 310 can be used in moderately carburizing, moderately oxidizing, nitriding, cementing, and thermal cycling applications when not used at the maximum service temperature. 310SS slip-on flanges also have good resistance to sulfidation and other forms of hot corrosion.  Although primarily known for its high-temperature properties, 310 stainless steel also provides excellent performance at cryogenic temperatures, with toughness down to -450˚F. Though 310 slip-on flanges are ideal for high-temperature use, they should not be exposed to the severe thermal shock of repeated liquid quenching or where aqueous corrosive contaminants are present.

304 Stainless Steel Slip On  Flanges

304 Stainless Steel Flanges

309 Stainless Steel Slip On Flanges

Stainless Steel 309 Flanges

Nitech Stainless INC Has a wide collection of 309 Stainless Steel Flanges are available in a different range of diameters, different sizes, and different wall thickness depending on the different functions. Stainless Steel 309 Flanges provides resistance to Marine atmosphere as well because they are annealed at 1038 degree centigrade followed by quenching in water. They have high weldability and high chromium but low Nickel content makes them cost-effective.

Advantages of Using a Slip On Flange

  • Lower installation costs Cost of Installing a Slip-on Flange is Low.
  • It comes with a better leakproof solution.
  • During installation, the Slip-on flange is easy to align with other parts
  • Inner and outer welding on the flange
  • Takes less time to cut accurately for the pipelines
  • As pipe slides on the flange, it compatible with the lower hub on the slip-on flange
